भारत अपनी स्वतंत्रता के 80वें वर्ष की ओर बढ़ रहा है। हमने बाहरी गुलामी की जंजीरें तोड़ दीं, लेकिन एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न आज भी हमारे सामने है—क्या हम वास्तव में स्वतंत्र हैं?


आज मनुष्य अपनी इच्छाओं, कामनाओं, क्रोध, लोभ, अहंकार, भय और आसक्ति के बंधनों में जकड़ा हुआ है। बाहर से स्वतंत्र दिखाई देने वाला व्यक्ति भीतर से अपनी ही इच्छाओं का गुलाम हो सकता है। परिस्थितियाँ बदलने के बाद भी यदि मन अशांत है, तो स्वतंत्रता अधूरी है।


असली आज़ादी तब होगी, जब हम अपनी कामनाओं के गुलाम नहीं होंगे। जब सुख बाहरी वस्तुओं पर निर्भर नहीं रहेगा, जब परिस्थितियाँ हमारे मन को नियंत्रित नहीं करेंगी और जब हम अपने वास्तविक स्वरूप को पहचानेंगे—तभी स्वतंत्रता का सच्चा अर्थ समझ में आएगा।


80 वर्ष बाद जब हम अपनी आज़ादी को याद करें, तो केवल यह न पूछें कि देश कितना आगे बढ़ा; स्वयं से भी पूछें—

“क्या मैं अपने मन के बंधनों से मुक्त हूँ?”


आइए, इस स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर बाहरी स्वतंत्रता के साथ-साथ आंतरिक स्वतंत्रता की ओर भी एक कदम बढ़ाएँ।


क्योंकि सबसे बड़ी विजय किसी दूसरे पर नहीं, अपने मन पर विजय है।
